The Community Arts Therapy Programme joined with St. George’s Cathedral to CHALK4PEACE in 2006 and became the first CHALK4PEACE event on the continent of Africa. When Archbishop Tutu was told about the project by his friend Peggy Phelps, he helped facilitate the collaboration. Angela Rackstraw, Executive Director of CATh has organized CHALK4PEACE every year since. Angela has encouraged and facilitated additional CHALK4PEACE events on the Africa continent and in Cork City, Ireland.
CHALK4PEACE is the official song for the global project, CHALK4PEACE. It was written by John Aaron, produced by Raymond Powers and performed by the CHALK4PEACE Chalk Dust Band. You can download it for free at www.chalk4peace.org
